Your privacy is important. This notice explains how our practices protect your privacy.

MD Ranger subscribers submit various types of information that are aggregated and incorporated into the MD Ranger database, which aggregate anonymized data is used to produce information available via a subscription to MD Ranger (the "Product").  

How We Collect Information, What Information We Collect, and Why We Collect the Information

Data Provided to Us by Our Users

For purposes of our Product, we collect anonymized physician pay data from subscribers with whom we have a written agreement.  Sometimes, those subscribers provide us with physician names in conjunction with the pay data.  Any data collected is governed by a written agreement with the subscriber and subscribers agree to diligently conform to all applicable laws and regulations.

MD Ranger is in the business of publishing information which may include aggregated information that is collected for the product.  We only use the anonymized physician pay data; we do not use physician names, if received, and physician names are never associated with pay data in the Product or any other service or product offered by MD Ranger.  MD Ranger uses the anonymized data to calculate aggregate statistics that conform with Federal antitrust guidelines. Any data submitted to MD Ranger is maintained in strict confidence and is de-identified and aggregated prior to release to MD Ranger subscribers.

Information Our Users Provide to Us

MD Ranger subscribers are asked to create an account to access the Product.  Subscribers will create a userid and password, which will be associated with their name and contact information, all of which are provided to MD Ranger directly by the subscriber.

MD Ranger uses account information to provide the services requested by the subscriber.  For example, we use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mails we receive.  We may also use return e-mail addresses, IP addresses, or other data contained in e-mail messages to keep track of our communications with you (as described in more detail in the next section).

MD Ranger does not sell or transfer subscriber information to any third party, other than a service provider engaged by MD Ranger to assist it with the provision of services to the subscriber.

Technical Information Collected When You Use Our Website or Access an Email from us

When you access the MD Ranger website, we collect certain technical information in order to (i) analyze the usage of our website or (ii) provide a more personalized experience. We and service providers acting on our behalf, such as Google Analytics , will use Log Files and other tracking technologies to collect and analyze certain types of technical information over time and across different websites following your use of the website, including cookies, WiFi information, IP addresses, geo-location, device type, device identifiers, browser types, browser language, referring and exit pages, and URLs, platform type, the number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, your state and the date and time of activity on our website, and other similar information. In some cases, we will associate this information with your user ID number for our internal use.

We may use IP addresses or other identifying information to limit the number of times a subscriber can access the Product.  We may periodically examine IP addresses to determine whether inappropriate use is being made of our website ("hacking", for example) - but we do not share these IP addresses with third parties, except as required by law or as required by our efforts to protect our users and your privacy.

We also employ other technologies including (i) web beacons, which allow us to know if a certain page was visited or whether an e-mail was opened; (ii) tracking pixels, which allow us to advertise more efficiently by excluding our current users from certain promotional messages, identifying the source of a new installation or delivering ads to you on other websites; and (iii) local shared objects also known as flash cookies, which help us to prevent fraud, remember your website preferences and speed up load times.
